To-Recreate-Me

As I look up at the star-glazed sky, I am grateful to every part of my being to be who I am. Underneath what weighs me down Is but a small traveling pack. Silently I close my eyes putting all behind me the rest in disguise. The soft earth beneath me is somehow firm enough to withstand my weight. I feel weightless as the still night air gently wraps it's wings around my soul. At peace, I have nothing to ponder Softly, as though as a reminder of my love for this world, the grass whispers in return for it. Is your heart too vital for seeing Or your mind too nervous, and set for thinking Is the world too big for grand surprises Or is it too small for shrinking? The hammer winds down with some degree of uncertainty I love you, but I don't know it And beneath this mirrored sky I feel some sense of hope. The dancer twists with little aptitude He loves his art, but can not show it; Beneath this censor  there is nothing left. Some awareness is too fragile a thought to merely twist around hollow words I fought for the shallow likeness that will redeem us both.
